I\'ve yet to use this item...but I was SO happy when I found it. I used a similar item I found in a re-sale store and wore it out w/ my toddler son. Now w/ a sibling on the way...I know I wanted/ needed this item but I had to look long and hard to find it. It came very well-shipped, it seems to be of high-quality...but I\'ve yet to begin using it. All I know is that this type of item was INVALUABLE to my older son and I\'m looking forward to using this item w/ my soon-to-be infant.
We received this when our son was about 1 month old. He is rarely in the car, so I used the velcro strap to hang it by the changing table to keep him occupied. He loved it so much that I began setting it up on the floor for him for his daily tummy time. The black and white cards were the first time I could really see him focusing on anything except people\'s faces. He will look at the cards for an extended period of time and not lose interest. I would recommend this product to anyone. It has become my number one item to give to parents of newborns.
I am not a \"flashcard parent,\" but these images (black and white on one side, primary colors on the other) mesmerize my baby. We copied some black and white ones and pasted a few on the wall. She shrieks with pleasure and lunges toward them. Can stare at them for up to 10 minutes.
Our baby has loved looking at this since she was only a month old. It\'s deceptively simple, but a fantastic toy for the car and really keeps her entertained. I feel better that she\'s getting some stimulus during car trips as well. Highly recommended.
