There's nothing like a free five minutes here and there when you're a parent. This stroller/infant seat/car seat toy arch bestows that gift on parents, while entertaining and helping to develop baby's senses. Adjustable clips attach the arch to whatever seat baby happens to be occupying. The cheerful colors of the plush crab, turtle, and sea horse attract baby's attention. And as soon as she starts batting at the toys she will be rewarded by songs (the turtle plays three tunes) and rattle sounds. If she gets her chubby little hands on any of the toys, she will love the plush fabric and hard plastic textures. Each sea critter is attached by a sturdy loop of Velcro, so if baby becomes particularly fond of the sea horse, say, mom or dad can remove it and allow her to play with it separately. There are also a couple extra loops on the arch to add your own toys. Great for eye-hand coordination, motor skills, and sensory stimulation. We got a bouncy seat with the toy bar missing, from a friend, and I looked all over for a replacement toy bar. This arch fit the seat perfectly (attached easily and securely and is the appropriate height for my daughter to play with the toys). She wasn\'t interested in it until she was about 8 weeks old, though, so if your baby doesn\'t like it before then, don\'t despair. Now she loves it. My only complaint is what other reviewers have said: the music doesn\'t work well. The songs are too short, there are only three of them, and it is impossible for her to get them to play. I have to stay right by her side to keep hitting the bar, hard, to get the music to play. Not only does this make the arch not useful as an entertainer because I can\'t use it to get something done in the house while she plays, but also sometimes it scares her when I whack the bar to make the music play. Not a perfect solution for us, but better than nothing.
My 4-month-old and I both like Tiny Love toys, but I\'ve found that the musical parts of two of the three toys we own (this and the super deluxe gymini -- we also own the symphony in motion farm animal version) have problems with their music. With all three, the animals are adorable, with bright colors and buggy eyes, and they attract my baby\'s attention, and she likes to touch and hold them. She loves tummy time on the gymini, and the take along arch is great because it goes from car seat to stroller to floor without any problem (a great travel toy!). However, when the take along arch arrived, the turtle didn\'t play music. I replaced the batteries, and it still doesn\'t work (and those batteries are expensive!). There\'s no tape or anything in the way. It just doesn\'t work. It\'s still cute and fun, but definitely not musical.
I bought the Musical Ocean Arch for my 6 month old niece for Christmas and she loves it! The attachments keep her giggling and grabbing and she loves the music (it doesn\'t bother me all that much either!). It is made of a soft yet durable material. The only thing that we didn\'t like at first was the attachment clips- not that they don\'t work, it was just a matter of figuring out how they could best attach to the car seat. Overall, I would highly recommend this item!
This is the only thing my son will coo and smile at on his carseat! It hooked just fine to my infant seat. The musical crab plays music when you shake it. Even going over a bump in the road will activate it. When it plays, my son will smile at it. I love this toy. It makes riding in the car enjoyable.
